I build software that I'd actually want to use. Based in South Africa, I work across the full stack — but what I care about most isn't the code itself. It's the thing the code becomes: a product that solves a real problem for real people, built in a way that holds up.

My favourite part of the process is the early, messy stage — sitting with domain experts, dissecting requirements and finding the constraints that end up shaping the design. From there I work across planning, architecture and development, with enough experience on both ends of the stack to understand how decisions made at one layer ripple through the rest.

I'm drawn to niche problems and teams who take their work seriously. I'm driven to do things properly, even when it's the slower option — sometimes especially then.
